Dishwashers have the cheapest control boards of any appliance in the kitchen, which makes them one of the better machines to repair rather than replace. $99 to come out and find the fault. Then one flat price for that repair, approved by you before anything gets touched.

What usually goes wrong
Each of these has more than one possible cause — a different part at a different price. Finding out which one is what the $99 diagnostic is for.
Don't run it again until it's looked at — and don't leave the water sitting; it turns sour within a couple of days.
When a machine that used to clean well stops, something inside has changed — and it rarely fixes itself.
Stop using it and towel it up — a leak here soaks the cabinet and the floor underneath before you see much.
Tell me whether any lights come on at all — that one detail saves time on the visit.
If it used to dry properly and now doesn't, something has changed inside. Send the model number with your request.
Write the code down or take a photo of the display and send it with your request — each code points somewhere different.
Pricing
One number, everything in it — parts, labor, the trip and the sales tax are inside the price you approve. There is no second invoice for parts. 1 year on parts, 120 days on labor. If I open it up and find a second fault, you get a separate price for that one and you decide — I don’t add it to the bill on my own.

No travel charge either. Minimum job $299.
Farther out I quote the trip up front: travel from $95, $450 minimum on the repair. If it isn't worth it for you, I'll say so.
